We aim to make the application process as straightforward as possible but we also need to be thorough in our selecting and checking of volunteers.

We advise anyone interested in volunteering to read our information leaflet and the frequently asked questions.

There are six easy steps to becoming a TBACT volunteer:

1. Submit your completed Application Form and £10 registration fee

2. We will confirm your application has been received and make arrangements for you to attend an information session and interview with a TBACT volunteer coordinator (your CRB form will be completed at this stage too).

3. Your CRB clearance should be returned within two weeks and at this point we will take up your references.

4. We will send you a Volunteer Manual including a contract of responsibilities which you will need to sign and return to us.

5. We will email you to confirm your volunteer placement – at this point you can start to fundraise, make travel arrangements and contact other volunteers on your placement.

6. You will need to pay your programme costs to TBACT at least 8 weeks prior to your departure date.
