WHAT ARE THE COSTS OF VOLUNTEERING?
Our volunteer programme offers people of all ages the opportunity to volunteer in Bulgaria at a reasonable price.
We charge volunteers a fee of £200 for a two week placement.
This fee covers:
• CRB check: All volunteers are subject to an enhanced CRB check (UK only)
• Accommodation: Volunteers share a flat in a central location
• In-country transfer: Pick up from Sofia Airport to Pleven
• Volunteer T-shirt and name badges
• 24 hours availability of Volunteer coordinator for emergency support
• All administration costs
• Pre-departure Information: Volunteer Information Booklet – providing detailed information on team members, airport procedure, what to bring etc.
The program fee excludes the following:
• Cost of CRB check equivalent for overseas volunteers
• Airfare and any Visa fees
• Meals
• Transportation from Pleven to Sofia Airport
• Travel and medical insurances and immunization
• Personal expenses
We can provide a discount to long term volunteers (those volunteering or 3 months or more) or to volunteers booking as a group.
We have plenty of ideas and guidance on fundraising to cover the costs of your volunteer placement. We find that most volunteers find it easier to fundraise than they thought it might be.
